From May 20 to May 26, 2012, Zagreb is the host of a unique film festival, the only one that with its rich program, through film screenings, music events and meetings with world renowned directors, producers and actors, educates about the Holocaust and promotes Jewish culture, as well as the dialogue between nations, tolerance and acceptance of diversity. Zagreb Jewish Film Festival – Festival of Tolerance, will be held in cinema Europa, one of the oldest and most beautiful art cinemas in the region. Throughout the Festival week, admirers of quality films and culture will enjoy in all day long free of charge film screenings, the exhibition of artist Seiji Kimoto and, in the evenings, rich music program. Expect more than 50 films of high artistic value in the categories of feature, documentary and short film. All screenings are appropriate for visitor from abroad, since the films have English translations. The Honorary President of the Jewish Film Festival is Mr. Branko Lustig, double Academy Award winning producer (“Schindler’s List” and “Gladiator”).
