War movie based on true story both deals with the Soviet history and the Holocaust in Europe, repressions and partisan movement. Vadik, a 13-year old boy, is a son of a Russian man and a Greek woman, rebels against his father who was imprisoned for the false accusation. He almost despises him for staying at home instead of fighting against the Nazis. Only later he learnt that his father is a Holocaust rescuer that saved many lives at the sake of his own life.
